A Further Training Course for 200-Hour Qualified Yoga Teachers
(Yoga Alliance Professionals UK Accreditation)
This advanced training expands on foundational yoga teacher education, exploring the menstrual cycle, menopause, and the transition into Second Spring as central passages in women’s lives. It equips teachers with the scientific understanding, philosophical frameworks, and applied yoga methodologies needed to safely, inclusively, and meaningfully support women through these stages.
Drawing on yoga philosophy (koshas, chakras, svādhyāya), modern women’s health science, Celtic and archetypal wisdom, and integrative wellness approaches, this training blends theory, experiential practice, and teaching application.
To deepen understanding of women’s physiology and psychology across the life cycle.
To empower yoga teachers to integrate cyclical awareness into teaching and personal practice.
To provide tools for adapting yoga for menstruation, perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
To cultivate the skills to design specialist workshops, courses, and classes for women’s health.
To reframe menopause as a rite of passage and renewal (“Second Spring”), strengthening teachers’ ability to hold space for empowerment and transformation.
By the end of this training, students will be able to:
Describe the hormonal and physiological shifts of the menstrual cycle and menopause.
Adapt yoga practices (asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga nidra) to suit cyclical phases and menopausal symptoms.
Apply seasonal shifts, lunar phases, koshas and chakras as frameworks for women’s health and transformation.
Design and deliver tailored classes and workshops for menstrual health and menopause support.
Hold safe, inclusive space for discussion and self-inquiry around women’s cycles.
Facilitate empowerment by guiding students toward body awareness, self-care, and resilience.
Integrate holistic perspectives (nutrition, self-care, journalling, lifestyle practices) into yoga teaching.
Frame menopause as a spiritual and creative transition, supporting women’s entry into “Second Spring.”
